Activities such as running, jumping, crawling, rolling, kicking, and punching are incorporated for comprehensive strength training in areas like legs, arms, and waist to promote overall physical development. Furthermore, our program includes the teaching of martial virtues in a friendly environment. We instill values such as unity, respect, bravery, confidence, courage, discipline, and integrity, aiming to shape their character and instill moral principles. This holistic training not only contributes to the children's physical well-being but also enhances their overall literacy and social skills.
At the Shaolin Kung Fu Chan Academy, we offer classes tailored for students aged 7 to 12. Each day, we organize two classes: a beginner's class and an advanced version. In the beginner's class, we place a strong emphasis on fundamental training for children, covering techniques such as fist forms, kicking methods, stretching, speed, and strength exercises. Additionally, we instill values of courtesy, discipline, humility, and respect to foster a well-rounded development in our young students. As students progress to the intermediate class, they have acquired basic skills in forms and weapons. They will continue their journey by learning Shaolin staff forms, knife techniques, dagger skills, double sticks, Shaolin spear techniques, and practical combat techniques. In the advanced version, students will delve into more challenging techniques, including side flips, back handsprings, backflips, front flips, and other demanding exercises. These advanced training sessions are designed to enhance flexibility and technical proficiency, providing students with both challenges and enjoyment on their martial arts journey.
In the martial arts classes at the Shaolin Kung Fu Chan Academy for youth and adults, we emphasize the holistic development of students' physical and mental qualities. Stretching & Self-defense is a class offered to adults who are interested in morning exercise. The exercise is easy but relaxing at the same time. It helps freshen up the body and mind in the early morning.
